Telluride Exteriors provides Snow & Ice Melt Systems that can help mitigate ice dams and ice buildup in certain areas of your roof. Using heated cable, or with a combination of different products, we’re able to prevent snow melt water from re-freezing and mitigate ice dams and ice buildup on your roof.

Snow & Ice Melt Systems can be operated manually, or they can be operated via a thermostat and/or moisture sensor. Systems that operate using a thermostat or moisture sensor may require a control unit, which in most cases can be a worthwhile investment.

Self-Regulating Heat Cable - We install HTS-6 commercial grade heat cable by Heat Trace Specialists. HTS-6 cable provides a pathway for flowing water on the roof or in gutters and downspouts before water can re-freeze and cause damage. HTS-6 heat cable comes with a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty.

SnoFree™ Panels -

We offer various heated metal panels for eaves, valleys, and metal roofs from Heat Trace Specialists.

A metal heated panel system gives a clean aesthetic look while keeping a more efficient method to eliminate ice dam issues. Some metal panels can come with an aluminum extrusion, for maximum efficiency in melting ice. Metal panel systems can be finished to match most new or existing roof materials and can be installed on all types of roofing materials, including metal, wood shakes, asphalt shingles, clay or cement.

Controllers -

Controllers are an energy effective way to operate a snow & ice melt system. Control units will automatically turn on when the temperatures are cold and moisture is detected. Once the potential for icing is gone, it will shut it off automatically. We install controllers and sensors provided by Heat Trace Specialists - most controllers come with a manufacturer’s warranty.
